Laser Vision - Cataract And Lens Surgery
Cataract and lens replacement surgery at LaserVision is carefully planned to deliver safe, predictable outcomes and a smooth recovery, with clear, transparent pricing. Standard cataract surgery is priced to include the procedure and one post-operative consultation, ensuring you are reviewed after surgery to confirm that healing is progressing as expected and that your vision is stabilising appropriately.

For any pathway that includes the word “refractive” — such as refractive cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange, refractive lens change, or vision correction lens pathways — pricing is all-inclusive and designed to cover the whole journey of premium vision correction. These packages include 12 months of post-operative follow-up for your surgery, as well as any subsequent adjustments if required. Importantly, where clinically indicated, your YAG laser capsulotomy (treatment for posterior capsule opacification, sometimes called “secondary cataract”) is also included, providing reassurance and long-term value as your vision continues to stabilise.

At LaserVision, our laser eye surgery pricing is designed to be transparent, inclusive, and focused on achieving safe, long-term results. Standard vision correction treatments — including LASIK, surface laser (PRK/LASEK), TransPRK, CLEAR, and presbyopia-focused laser options — are included in a 24-month aftercare package, ensuring your recovery is closely monitored as your vision stabilises. This pathway covers all routine post-operative consultations related to your procedure and, if required, further enhancement treatment, providing reassurance and continuity of care.

For laser treatments designed to manage corneal surface pathology rather than refractive correction — such as PTK (Phototherapeutic Keratectomy) and topography-guided / customised corneal laser treatments — we provide a dedicated six-month inclusive care package. This is tailored to the healing and monitoring needs of therapeutic corneal procedures, and includes the essential post-operative reviews and clinical support during the key recovery phase.

Laser Vision - ICL Surgery
Implantable Contact Lens (ICL) surgery is a highly effective, reversible vision correction procedure, particularly suited to patients with high prescriptions, thin corneas, or who are not ideal candidates for laser eye surgery. The procedure involves placing a customised lens inside the eye, positioned behind the iris and in front of the natural lens, to correct short-sightedness, long-sightedness and astigmatism with exceptional clarity and stability.

At LaserVision, we offer the full spectrum of implantable contact lenses and tailor the lens selection to each patient’s prescription, eye anatomy, and visual goals. Where suitable, we typically favour the STAAR lens, widely regarded for its excellent optical performance and long-term safety profile. For more complex prescriptions, IPCL can provide a broader corrective range, enabling treatment of patients who may not be suitable for standard lens options.

Our 12-month fixed ICL package is designed to give you complete clarity and peace of mind. It includes the full cost of your surgery, your personalised implantable lens, and all appropriate aftercare related to the procedure for the first 12 months. Importantly, if any fine-tuning is required, it is included as part of the package, including complimentary laser enhancements and any return to the theatre for adjustments, should it ever be necessary.

Following ICL surgery, we recommend an annual review to monitor corneal health, including endothelial cell counts, as part of good long-term care. We offer this as a fixed-cost ICL Health Check for £150, ensuring continued safety and reassurance well beyond the first year.

Piggyback lens surgery is most commonly performed for patients who have already had lens replacement or cataract surgery and would benefit from an additional lens-based enhancement. This may be to refine the final prescription and improve visual quality, or to address symptoms such as negative dysphotopsia—a peripheral shadow or “tunnel effect” that some patients experience after lens surgery. In selected cases, a piggyback lens can be a highly effective way to optimise visual comfort and satisfaction without removing the original lens implant.

Piggyback surgery is also an option for patients who have previously undergone NHS cataract surgery and would like to expand their range of vision by introducing trifocal lens technology using a piggyback technique. At LaserVision, piggyback lens procedures are offered as part of a 12-month inclusive package that covers the surgery and all appropriate aftercare, ensuring ongoing support and any required adjustments during the first year.

All YAG laser treatments at LaserVision include the full care pathway outlined below, ensuring your procedure is delivered safely and with appropriate follow-up. As part of this service, you will receive a post-operative review, which may be conducted either by telephone or face-to-face, depending on your clinical needs and the findings on the day. This follow-up allows us to confirm that your vision is improving as expected and that your eye pressure and overall eye health remain stable after treatment.

Laser Vision - Dry Eye
Dry eye disease is a complex condition, and treatment must be customised to each individual’s underlying cause and severity.

At LaserVision, we offer a wide range of modern dry eye treatments designed to improve comfort, stabilise the tear film, and support long-term ocular surface health. Our aim is not only to relieve symptoms, but also to reduce dependence on eye drops and, where possible, reverse the inflammatory changes that drive dry eye over time.

All dry eye treatments listed below are priced to include a clinical assessment and report completed by a specialist optometrist or consultant, ensuring your treatment plan is tailored and evidence-based. If you would like more information or guidance on which option is most suitable, please contact us, and our team will be happy to help.

Laser Vision - Corneal Surgery

Laser Vision Corneal Transplants
Corneal transplant surgery is a major procedure, and we aim to make the pathway as clear and supportive as possible for our patients. At LaserVision, corneal transplant surgery is offered within an all-inclusive 12-month package, which includes your surgery and all routine post-operative care related to the transplant during the first year. This also covers any required adjustments and additional clinical support during the healing period, ensuring you are closely monitored as the graft stabilises and your vision improves.

Because procedures such as DMEK and DSEK are highly specialised, there is a small risk that a graft may not survive or attach as intended. If a repeat transplant procedure is required for this reason, the surgical costs are covered within your package, and the operation will be repeated without additional surgeon or theatre fees. However, patients remain responsible for the cost of any additional donor corneal tissue required.

We source transplant tissue primarily through established UK providers, including NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT). If suitable tissue is not available within the UK timeframe, we can also arrange access through international tissue banks (including Intertissue), sourcing from the USA or Europe where appropriate. All pathways include 12 months of care, providing reassurance, continuity, and long-term support throughout your recovery.

The prices below apply to surgical procedures performed at our leading clinic, Prema. Pricing will vary for patients choosing to have surgery at the Nuffield or Spire Hospital.

Keratoconus treatment is highly specialised and must be tailored to each individual, because every cornea is unique in its shape, thickness, stability, and visual potential. At LaserVision, we take a personalised approach to ensure the safest plan and the best long-term outcome for your eyes. Depending on your corneal measurements and stage of keratoconus, treatment may involve more than one procedure over time — for example, to stabilise the cornea first and then optimise vision — and your consultant will discuss the most appropriate long-term strategy with you during your assessment.

When a staged or combined approach is recommended, we can offer customised treatment packages designed to mitigate compounding costs and keep pricing as fair and transparent as possible. Many keratoconus treatments may be eligible for insurance coverage, and our team can guide you on the documentation required if you are submitting a claim to an insurer.

At LaserVision, we provide a comprehensive range of advanced retinal (vitreoretinal) procedures, delivered by experienced retinal specialists in modern theatre facilities. Complex retinal surgery is available at our flagship clinic in Prema (Portsmouth) and at the Nuffield Health Hospital in Woking, ensuring patients can access specialist care across multiple locations.

We have also invested in the Alcon UNITY® VitreoRetinal Surgical System. We are proud to be the third clinic in the UK to offer this latest-generation technology, providing one of the most advanced platforms currently available for retinal surgery, with a focus on precision, efficiency, and patient safety.

All retinal procedures listed below include a structured aftercare pathway, with three post-operative follow-up consultations with your consultant to monitor healing, visual recovery, and retinal stability. Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) can understandably cause anxiety, particularly when patients are concerned about how their vision may change over the coming years. While treatments for wet AMD are well established, options for dry AMD have historically been very limited.

At LaserVision, we are proud to be one of the few UK centres offering Valeda® Light Therapy—an innovative, non-invasive treatment for patients with early- to intermediate-stage dry AMD. Valeda uses photobiomodulation (PBM), delivering carefully selected wavelengths of light to stimulate retinal cell function, support mitochondrial energy production, and help reduce inflammatory stress within the macula. Clinical trial data (including the LIGHTSITE studies) have shown encouraging improvements in visual function and retinal health markers in eligible patients, and the Macular Society has highlighted Valeda’s potential as an important emerging therapy, with ongoing research.

Valeda treatments are priced per treatment cycle, and each cycle includes care and support from our specialist optometrists throughout the treatment programme. All patients undergoing macular degeneration treatment at LaserVision are also under the supervision of our consultant ophthalmologists who specialise in macular disease. A separate consultant consultation fee is charged at the start of each cycle to confirm suitability, review progress, and ensure the treatment pathway remains appropriate and safe as your condition evolves.

At LaserVision, we offer a comprehensive range of oculoplastic (eyelid and peri-orbital) procedures, delivered by experienced specialist surgeons in a safe, consultant-led setting. These treatments include both functional and cosmetic eyelid surgery, as well as procedures to improve comfort, eye health, and appearance. To ensure consistent care and the highest standards of safety, all oculoplastic surgeries listed in this section are performed exclusively at our Prema Clinic, which has dedicated facilities and specialist support for peri-ocular surgery.

All procedures include one post-operative follow-up consultation, allowing your surgeon to assess healing, address any concerns, and ensure the best possible outcome. Pricing is designed to be clear and inclusive, and your treatment plan will be tailored to your individual needs following a detailed consultation and assessment. If you are unsure which procedure is most appropriate, or if your condition is not specifically listed, our team will be happy to guide you and provide an individualised quotation following review.
