With World No Tobacco Day nearly upon us (31st May 2015), the team at LaserVision wanted to reinforce the dangerous and potentially blinding affects that smoking has on our eyes.
For example, did you know smoking doubles the chances of forming cataracts? Smoking also increases the risk of develop Age-related macular degeneration which impairs your central vision which is crucial to everyday tasks.
More commonly, do you suffer from watery eyes? This could also be down to smoking. Tobacco smoke is an irritant which can cause itchiness, redness and watery eyes, meaning smokers are twice as likely to have dry eyes.
