Wellbeing: The Benefits of Mindfulness

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week with a supporting campaign of promoting the benefits of mindfulness. If you haven’t heard of mindfulness before, now is the time to introduce this simple practice into your everyday life as it can be done almost anywhere and for as long as you like.

Practising mindfulness is believed to improve your general outlook on life, improve concentration and productivity as well as helping to alleviate more serious symptoms of anxiety, depression and stress. Below we present the Mental Health Foundation’s poster on mindfulness which provides useful information on how the practise works, why we should do it and what it can help.
