Due to COVID-19 there is a lot of uncertainty regarding medical treatments; including whether you can or cannot visit a laser eye surgery specialist.
At LaserVision it is safe to undergo eye surgery during COVID-19. However, safety precautions must be implemented to keep yourself and our employees protected.
Your health and safety are of the utmost importance to us, and we will continue to abide by all government guidelines. As providers of essential eye care, we are readily equipped to care for all of our patients safely and efficiently.Â
How we Maintain Safety in the Laser Vision Clinics
We are strictly following all advice from Public Health England (PHE) and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. This ensures that we can continue providing safe, high-quality care to our patients.
Our enhanced COVID-19 health and safety measures:
- Prior to your appointment we will send you a letter asking you to notify us if you have any COVID-19 symptoms. If you do, we will reschedule your appointment a time most convenient for you.
- Upon arrival to the LaserVision clinic a hospital team member will take your temperature and provide antibacterial hand sanitiser that you are required to use.
- We require all employees and patients to wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- All public waiting areas have been rearranged to ensure 2-metre social distancing rules are maintained.
- We are now limiting appointments to reduce the number of people in the clinic at all times.
In addition to these changes we kindly ask you to attend all appointments on your own, unless you require assistance.
